Hi, I’m Joshua Horan, owner operator of Horan Wallcovering. Are you ready to transform your space?

I’m all about creating a warm, comfortable environment for my clients, walking you through each step along the way.

If you have not yet chosen your material, let’s set up an appointment for an onsite consultation at your place of residence or business. I have hundreds of samples from the leading wallcovering manufacturers around the world, such as Phillip Jeffries, Koroseal, ARTE and more.

It is my pleasure to measure, order, and receive your material of choice. Unlike shopping online, you will get to feel the actual wallcovering, expanding your creative choices.

For new customers

If I’m not there in person, here are a few things I request in order to provide a more accurate quote.

  • Measure the height of the ceiling. More accurately, measure from the top of your baseboard to the ceiling.

  • Measure the length of each wall, then add them up.

  • Take clear, close-up pictures of a wall's texture. Please include some fingers in the photo to show scale.

  • Then take pictures or video of all walls and/or ceilings to be installed. Preferably lights on, curtains wide open, bright sunny day pictures.

  • Lastly, we will need the specifications of your chosen material. Please include:

Manufacturer name Width Roll/Bolt size Pattern match/Vertical repeat measurements (if material has a pattern)

You may send me a link if that is convenient.

Texture

If a wall’s texture is too coarse, it will need to be resurfaced. This involves skimming a wall or ceiling with drywall mud, sanding and priming before wallpaper installation. Proper cure times between mud, paint, and installation are highly recommended.

A good air flow, low humidity environment is preferred. No less than 48 hours between each application is recommended.

Written Proposal

After receiving your measurements, pictures, and material specifications…

We then send you a detailed proposal outlining the scope and cost of the work.

If all looks good, you can easily e-sign documents and we will get you scheduled.

If we are purchasing wallpaper for your project, we ask for the cost of material upfront before ordering.

Accessibility

We will need access to water, electricity, and an open space of no less than 9’ x 9’ for a workstation. For particular materials we will need the working environment to remain between 65-75 degrees to ensure proper installation. For some wallpaper removals we’ll need a hot, high humidity, no airflow environment.

We ask that you remove all household and personal items from the work area during the duration of the project. Large furniture such as sofas, beds, entertainment centers etc. are to be moved to the center of the room, allowing a minimum of 3 feet from all walls.

Work & Completion

Installing 54”vinyl on a 300 square foot ceiling tends to make some noise. But the majority of our work is incredibly quiet, affording us work access on weekends in sensitive security areas.

  • For years I’ve experienced the tight schedules of a new home build or remodel. All the trades layered on top of one another working to get it done. When that’s the job, I’m game! But if controllable, an environment free of work hindering obstacles would be appreciated. Wallpaper tends to be one of the last trades to come in. We as installers appreciate that.

  • Upon completion, you inspect the work and sign off on satisfaction. My work comes with a warranty/ guarantee for no less than 1 year.

  • You may then pay by check, Paypal, Venmo, Apple Pay, or any major credit card. Please note, a 3.5% service charge will be added if paying by means other than check.
